Accomodation Info for Redwood Dulcimer Day. MAKE RESERVATIONS EARLY!!!

Camping:
Closest camping area to Bonny Doon would be Henry Cowell State Park, in Felton (about a 15 minute windy, pretty drive through redwoods). State park reservation line: 1-800-444-PARK (x7275) cal-parks.ca.gov

State park beach campgrounds in Santa Cruz county include (in order of proximity to Bonny Doon): New Brighton (Capitola), Seacliff (Aptos), and Manresa (La Selva). Use 800 number above. New Brighton is probably 30 minutes or so from Bonny Doon (but could be more in summer mid-day traffic)

Big Basin State Park is at least 45 minutes from Bonny Doon but lovely-- 1-800-874-TENT (x8368)

There is a KOA campground in Watsonville (near Manresa state beach) 1186 San Andreas Rd. 831-722-0551 or 722-2377 also probably at least 45 minutes to Bonny Doon.

1. Fern River Resort, Felton (across from Henry Cowell park) 831-335-4412
2. Jaye's Timberlane Resort 831-336-5479 8705 Hiway 9 Ben Lomond (Ben Lomond is next town north of Felton in the Santa Cruz mountains, a few miles up Hiway 9)

Bed & Breakfasts:
There are several in the area including Babbling Brook, Santa Cruz 831-427-2437; Darling House, Santa Cruz 831-458-1958; Inn at Felton Crest, Felton 831-335-4011

Motels:
The Brookdale Lodge isn't too far from Felton, and it has a lot of character 831-338-6433 (historic movie star hangout from way back, brook going through the dining room).

Through the Santa Cruz County Conference and Visitor's Council you can search online for accomodations throughout the county in different categories, or call 831-425-1234. Anything near the university would be reasonably close to Bonny Doon (Boomeria is about 25 minutes from UCSC). Anything by the boardwalk will be touristland, with lots of traffic congestion.
